KUALA BESUT TOWN

 Is located south of Kota Bahru and north of Kuala Terengganu. Driving to Kuala Besut takes approximately 8hrs from Kuala Lumpur. From Kuala Lumpur, take route 2 to Kuantan, then either take route 14 or route 3(a more scenic route) to Kuala Terengganu. Continue on route 3 until you reach Jertih. Follow road signs from Jertih to Kuala Besut
Many misunderstood Kuala Besut belongs to Kelantan state simply because it is located far north from Terengganu, bordering with Kelantan and has significant Kelantanese influence.

When you're crossing the bridge, Also, just right after the bridge, there is a famous family run Malay food stall by the road offering delicious Nasing Dagang every morning. you'll see the original fishing village of Kuala Besut. Here are the scenes and the characters that some of the tourists and especially foreigners are looking for.
Kuala Besut is a small fishermen and tourism town. It has a few hotels and motels, a few coffee shops, retail shops, one pharmacy shop and one clinic. Kuala Besut always likes to welcome any foreigner or local tourist to stay for short and long term holidays.
